Police arrested George Clooney and his dad, Nick, along with other protesters outside the Embassy of Sudan in Washington this morning.

Martin Luther King III, NAACP President Ben Jealous and Congressman Jim Moran were among those protesting with Clooney, according to WUSA TV. The protesters are calling for immediate action to stop Sudan's president, Omar al-Bashir, from blocking food and other humanitarian aid.

Before Clooney was taken for booking, he said "This is for the government in Khartoum to stop randomly killing its own innocent men, women and children. Stop raping them and stop starving them. That's all we ask,"
