It was destiny that music plays an important part in Sherry Farmers life. After all her parents named her after their favorite song “Sherry Baby” by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and her middle name came from the very popular Beatles song “Michelle.” She was born and raised in St. Louis County and graduated from Mehlville Senior High School. Now that we have that big local question out of the way…..Farmer attended University of Missouri-Columbia and while working on her bachelors of art degree in psychology she took a semester off to spend time with Mickey Mouse. Farmer worked at EPCOT and learned how “it’s a small world after all” and no matter where you are from a smile goes a long way. She also realized that a career in the high intensity entertainment biz was a must. Farmer received a “Ducktorate” degree from the Walt Disney World College Program (the programs highest honor) and soon after a BA from Mizzou. Music came a calling and she enrolled at Broadcast Center in St. Louis. In 2000 Farmer scored her first radio gig in Cape Girardeau, Missouri as not only a morning show news anchor and personality but also served as a promotions director. Next stop Farmer moved to Quincy, Illinois and moseyed on over to the country format wearing several hats including on-air personality as well as both a program and music director. Jefferson City, Columbia and Springfield, Missouri followed. Farmer also has television experience having hosted a morning show at Lake Ozark and locally danced and introduced videos on St. Louis Country and was frequently a judge on Harrah’s Lucky Break. She has recently gone back to school yet again this time she's working on a Masters in Communication at Lindenwood University. Farmer is very happy to be back in her home town of St. Louis where musically she has the best of both world’s country and the most popular tunes of the 60’s & 70’s. She can be heard regularly Weeknights 7-12 Midnight and on Saturday Night's 4-9 pm on Oldies 103.3 Saturday Nights are all about bringing a smile to your face, getting your toes tapping to the beat and bringing folks together. Remember Farmer learned a long time ago that the power of music proves “it’s a small world after all.”
